The images for this mixed media collage came from the Crowabout Challenge. I couldn't resist doing something with this lion. I've played with the placements of the images digitally. Then I embellished it with paint, colored pencil, ink, and a couple of metal pretties. The image is then adhered to a vintage book cover. The finished piece measures 5.5" x 8.5" and is titled Quite a Pear!
On another note, I found this quote the other day in my stash. I have no idea to whom to attribute it. But of course, I love it! "Veterinary research has learned that a cat's brain structure is similar to a human's and that cats make decisions by processing data from the five senses."

Looks great....I couldn't get inspired with the recent Crowabout challenge, so I am hoping my muse kicks in for the next one. Love what you did here :)
what fun! Your blog is looking amazing, by the way
Elizabeth, I've been doing my blog land catch up tonight. I wanna check out that Collage Play with Crowabout. Sounds very interesting! And I love your new look -- with that regal collage centered around Lina Cavellira (sp?) at the right. Tres belle:)
OH, Elizabeth, me again:) I'm doing an art challenge myself! Duh...forgot to mention it. I hope you'll participate. A free download and contest details on my Thursday, March 25 post.
That cat collage is so pretty! I agree about the intelligence of cats, too...
I love the cat collage and quote! I think cats are very smart indeed. Still hope my Joey comes to his senses and returns home.He has been missing for almost 200 days now :( Your beautiful OWOH ATC came by the way and I wanted to send you another huge thank you!
